About the Author

Born in New York City, Bernard John Daenzer went to St. Joseph's in Yorkville, and was a triple Fordham man: prep, college, and law school. He won awards from the predecessor of The College of Insurance where he later became chairman and built their campus near the Twin Towers. He was a very early CPCU, became President of the Connecticut Chapter and the National Society, and founded the Loman Foundation. He had 20 years with stock insurance companies and became CEO of Security-Connecticut Companies where he started Security-Connecticut Life. For 23 years, he ran a Lloyd's type operation called Wohlreich and Anderson which became Howden-Swann with 23 offices in the U.S.A., became the first American on the board of a Lloyd's Broker in London and the first American to become an Underwriting Member of Lloyd's. For 20 years, he practiced law and was a consultant to law firms.
