Linda Klausing Joins Morris, Manning & Martin as Director of Project Management

ATLANTA, April 24, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Linda L. Klausing has joined Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP (MMM) as the Atlanta-based law firm's Director of Legal Project Management. She was previously a project manager with The Home Depot and Georgia Pacific.

Klausing's duties include implementing and expanding the firm's new patent-pending Project Management System for delivering legal services on major projects. The system was designed by MMM attorneys to enhance the efficiency, transparency and communications between the firm and its clients and increase the ability to deliver major legal services on time and on budget.

"This is a great opportunity," Klausing says. "And the most exciting thing is that this is such an innovative concept in the legal community."

Areas of focus for Klausing will be the creation of customized project management systems, tools and templates in mergers and acquisitions, litigation/dispute resolution, private equity, and intellectual property/patent prosecution. Klausing will also coordinate the firm's project management training and organize educational programs for the firm's attorneys and clients on the MMM Legal Project Management System.

Klausing was most recently Information Technology Service Manager for The Home Depot. She previously served as a project manager for Georgia-Pacific Corporation and managed the Law and Corporate Security IT Group. She was on the Georgia-Pacific leadership team that developed the Corporate System Service ACE (Above and Beyond Client Expectations) concept, developing ideas for improving client services. She also has project management experience at CheckFree and NationsBank and is a member of the Project Management Institute.

"Linda Klausing has the perfect credentials to help MMM become the first law firm in the nation to launch a true project management platform for delivering legal services," said Grant Collingsworth, who is spearheading the MMM Project Management effort. He is also co-author on the firm's patent application for the system along with John Yates and Paul Arne of the firm's Technology Group.

MMM attorneys and Klausing will use the Project Management System to define project requirements, objectives and scope of major transactions. The system is expected to further differentiate MMM as an innovator in delivering value-added legal services, enhancing the efficiency, transparency and communications between MMM and its clients.
