Photo Release -- Northrop Grumman Announces Key Executive Appointments Within its Information Technology Sector


MCLEAN, Va., April 26, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has appointed three vice presidents to key positions within the company's Information Technology (IT) sector, effective April 17, 2006.

Steve Perkins has been appointed vice president, Washington Operations; Kent Schneider has been appointed vice president, Business Development; and David Zolet has been appointed sector vice president and president, Defense group. All report to James R. O'Neill, corporate vice president and president of the IT sector.

"Each executive brings valuable insight and industry expertise to further expand our market leadership positions," said O'Neill. "These changes also broaden the management team's experience, increasing service levels to our customers."

Perkins will coordinate the IT sector's activities with members of Congress and the executive branches of the federal, state and local governments. He will continue to support work with the sector's current and future alliances. Perkins served most recently as vice president, Business Development at the IT sector. He joined Northrop Grumman in 2004. Perkins earned his bachelor's degree in history from Le Moyne College, Syracuse, N.Y. and his master's degree in public administration from American University, Washington, D.C.

Schneider will lead all IT sector business development activities. He most recently served as sector vice president and president of the IT sector's Defense group. Schneider joined Northrop Grumman in 1994. He earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Augusta College, Ga., and a master's degree in information systems management from the University of Southern California.

Zolet will lead the IT sector's Defense group, which comprises programs focused on the analysis, design, development, integration and implementation of advanced information systems for the Department of Defense. Most recently, Zolet was corporate vice president, corporate business development for Northrop Grumman. Zolet joined Northrop Grumman in 1983. He earned a bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a master's degree in business administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
