Northrop Grumman Appoints Joe G. Taylor and George J. Batsakis as Vice Presidents of Tactical Systems


RESTON, Va., April 28, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named Joe G. Taylor and George J. Batsakis as vice presidents of the Tactical Systems Division, a business unit in the company's Mission Systems sector. They will report to Kelley Zelickson, the Tactical Systems Division vice president and general manager.

Taylor was named vice president of land forces operations, and Batsakis as vice president of force protection and communications operations.

Taylor will manage performance and growth of the division's battle command, integrated platforms solutions, and logistics technologies businesses and will serve as a primary corporate interface with key U.S. Army customers. Taylor joined Northrop Grumman in 2003 as vice president of strategic programs-Army/land forces and was named corporate lead executive for the Army Training and Doctrine Command in August 2004.

Taylor, a retired U.S. Army major general, earned bachelor's and master's degrees from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La., where he was commissioned a second lieutenant of field artillery in 1974. He also attended the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the Armed Forces Staff College.

Batsakis will be responsible for the integrated security and force protection and communication systems businesses, developing market strategy and managing performance. Batsakis joined Northrop Grumman as director of business development for Tactical Systems in July 2003. He currently serves as the division's deputy general manager.

Batsakis earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Mich., and a master's degree in management from Johns Hopkins University.
