DonHarrold.net Commentary -- April 28, 2006

My most recent published rating on Sirius Satellite (Nasdaq:SIRI) was SELL on April 11. SIRI opened April 11 at $5.31 and closed yesterday, April 27, at $4.82. That move down confirmed my initial rating with a decline of 9.2%. While there may be more downside, I believe that the bulk of the move has occurred. For that reason I feel an upgrade is in order for SIRI to "Weak Sell".

A "Weak Sell" stock like Sirius Satellite (Nasdaq:SIRI) is one that I think will probably move lower, yet the downtrend should be minimal at this point. If you hold the stock and are hoping for a move higher, a "Weak Sell" could be good news.

The "Weak Sell" rating is tricky, though. There are mixed signals that at once show the stock is going lower still, but could stop the drop anytime. It's a signal that says, "Be ready for a change of character". My least favorite rating is the "Weak Sell" or "Weak Buy". But, on the flipside, the next stop from "Weak Sell" is, usually "Strong Buy!"
