MollyHunter.com Enters the E-Card Market With a Unique New Product

CHICAGO, April 30, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- A unique new entrant to the e-card market opened its e-commerce doors today. Molly Hunter E-cards (www.mollyhunter.com) are mini-movies starring two Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, Jasper and Molly. The animated shorts tell universal stories of love and friendship, and are designed for use as e-cards.

"These e-cards are unlike anything else available on the Web," says Jim Hunter, founder and creative director for Molly Hunter E-cards. "They're not just simple tokens of affection; they're reflections on love and life itself."

Featuring meticulously detailed animation, custom-composed music, and numerous options for personalization, Molly Hunter E-cards offer a more sophisticated alternative to traditional e-cards. "People don't want to say 'I love you' with a cookie-cutter card," says Hunter. "And now, with Molly Hunter E-cards, they don't have to. Our e-cards allow people to express emotions and celebrate occasions in a unique and personal way."

A year-long membership to MollyHunter.com will cost $9.95 and include:

 -- Unlimited access to e-cards;

 -- The option of attaching gift certificates from RedEnvelope and
    Amazon.com;

 -- Special e-card tools, like the ability to pre-schedule e-cards to
    be sent throughout the year; and

 -- A "create your own card" feature, which allows members to
    personalize cards by uploading their own photos and choosing the
    colors, fonts, and even music.

To extend the significance of these pet-themed e-cards, MollyHunter.com will donate 2 percent of all profits to PAWS Chicago, the city's largest no-kill animal shelter. "PAWS is the perfect charity for us," says Hunter, who sees social responsibility as one of the primary business tenets for Molly Hunter E-cards. "It's the right thing to do," he says. "And I think our customers will appreciate it. They'll know that when they purchase a Molly Hunter E-Card, they're also contributing to a worthwhile cause."

As MollyHunter.com opens for business today, plans are already underway for new e-cards, and Hunter expects the menagerie of pets featured in the cards to grow. While Jasper and Molly will always remain central to the Molly Hunter E-card brand, new e-cards will feature additional domestic friends, including Sam, the Rottie-next-door, and Bianca, a beautiful and aloof Siamese cat. Some of these new e-cards are already being developed, and they will be unveiled throughout 2006.
