Unveiling The Mysteries Behind The Ups and Downs of Political Campaigning -- New Book Begins Author's Trilogy of Suspense and Politics

VERGENNES, Vt., May 2, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Running for office or selling a political idea has its many great obstacles and intrigues. In today's computerized world, political campaigns have grown more complex and at the same time more influential than ever before as technology paves the way for politics to spread with a greater range. In the middle of it all, human intervention still exists and the system of campaigning is actually vulnerable to sabotage and fraud. These are the themes that readers will discover in Juliane Viskup's compelling new book, Misdirection.

The first book in a suspense trilogy, Misdirection begins the journey through the ups and downs of a political campaign. The book presents mysterious circumstances for the reader to figure out: Who is sabotaging the campaign's computer system, and why? The characters and events are rich and realistic. Many of the settings are real places. The word "misdirection" has multiple meanings. When the reader discovers the intended meaning, he or she will have important clues to solving the mystery and will see how misdirection has been woven into the book and also leaves you to consider a life lesson. The theme behind the story is focus and the book reveals the consequences of having a lack of focus and misdirected focus. The story features an interesting cast of characters and in-depth character development, both of which add life to the plot.

Misdirection combines current political events, suspense and intrigue with a mystery to solve and it concludes with an important life lesson which should interest readers who are fond of mystery and politics. It will also give readers deeper insight into how campaigns are run, who benefits from winning or sabotaging, how the culprits get away as well as what is at stake in the modern world.
