FORT WORTH, Texas, May 3, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Vertical Computer Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:VCSY) announced today that the company and its subsidiaries have acquired the rights for the ImmuneApp security software solution on a partially exclusive basis.
ImmuneApp is a security software that allows a system administrator to limit or stop the use of unauthorized programs, including unlicensed software, viruses, trojans, spyware, adware and malicious code. ImmuneApp's patent-pending technology never has to be updated with a current list of viruses, spyware and the like. The system intercepts every program that is beginning to execute and verifies it against a list of authorized programs. If the program is not authorized, it will be stopped and deleted, and the system administrator will be notified of this action.
Pursuant to the terms of the agreement, VCSY has acquired exclusive rights for all users in Brazil and in the healthcare industry in the United States and Canada, as well as for governmental users who are governmental subdivisions or units below the federal or state government in the United States and their equivalents in Canada. VCSY may distribute the software to any other users on a non-exclusive basis. In addition, VCSY's subsidiary, Now Solutions, Inc. has the exclusive rights to use ImmuneApp on an ASP platform for its HRMS solution.
