Northrop Grumman Highlights Traffic Management Systems and Solutions at ITS America's 2006 Annual Meeting & Exposition


PHILADELPHIA, May 4, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Next week, Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) will highlight its advanced vehicle-imaging technology and regional traffic management systems for intelligent transportation at the 2006 Intelligent Transportation Society of America's Meeting & Exposition.

The exposition will be held May 7 - 9 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Northrop Grumman will be located at booth number 511.

Through a simulated traffic management center, Northrop Grumman will demonstrate its automated traffic management software for providing real-time roadway data to the traveling public. Northrop Grumman's smart transportation customer Web sites include the Advanced Regional Traffic Interactive Management and Information System program in Cincinnati, the Traffic Response and Incident Management Assisting River Cities program in Louisville, Ky., and the Hudson Valley Traveler in Westchester, N.Y. These award-winning solutions improve traffic safety and traffic management by providing the public with a convenient portal to traffic information in their community.

Northrop Grumman will also demonstrate its vehicle-imaging technology that includes an under-vehicle inspection system integrated with a license-plate reader, which provides safety and efficiency whenever vehicle inspection and identification are critical for operations.
