COPENHAGEN, Denmark, May 5, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- In April 2006, the total number of passengers in Copenhagen Airport increased by 114,830 passengers (+7.3%) compared with April 2005.
Breakdown of departing passengers
The number of locally departing passengers increased by 59,361 passengers (+11.8%). The number of transfer/transit passengers decreased by 4,911 passengers (-1.7%).
International passengers
The number of scheduled international passengers increased by 98,526 passengers (+7.2%), while the number of international charter passengers increased by 13,381 (+18.3%). Consequently, the total number of international passengers increased by 111,116 passengers (+7.7%).
Domestic passengers
The total number of domestic passengers increased by 3,714 passengers (+2.7%) compared with April 2005.
Operations and take-off weight
In April 2006, the total number of take-offs and landings decreased by 2,406 operations (-10.6%), while the tonnage decreased by 35,218 tonnes (-5.4%) compared with April 2005.
