VAN NUYS, Calif., May 12, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- NuTech Digital, Inc. (OTCBB:NTDL), a worldwide leader in the production and distribution of original and licensed DVD content, today announced the execution of an exclusive distribution agreement with DEP Distribution of Montreal, Canada. The exclusive agreement has a term of five years, covering 35 existing titles from NuTech's content library and new and upcoming titles. Additionally, DEP will receive selected television broadcast rights throughout the entire country of Canada. Financial terms of the entire agreement were not disclosed.
Based in Canada since 1996, DEP Distribution offers American, European and Canadian independent labels an alternative of choice when it comes to their product's merchandising on DVD, video, and CD. DEP guarantees each of its distribution partners the service of a sales representative in every province in Canada. Since their inception, DEP has been nominated eight times for 'Distributor of the Year', having won the award four times since 2000.
Commenting on the agreement, DEP CEO Maurice Courtois stated, "We are happy to add NuTech's great production to our distributed products. The titles are really strong and we expect the retailers and the consumers to be very pleased with the quality of the productions. We look forward to releasing the first wave of titles."
Continuing, Lee Kasper, NuTech Digital CEO, stated, "We are very pleased to be working with as strong an organization as DEP. Our titles will now be found in many retail locations throughout every province in Canada, which will complement our retail distribution here in the United States. This represents further evidence for the consumer demand for the product we are producing in our Platinum Concert Series Division. We expect to begin inventory shipments to DEP as soon as is practical."
