Suntron Corporation Prevails Over Applied Materials in Texas Supreme Court Forum Dispute


PHOENIX, May 12, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- On May 5, 2006, the Texas Supreme Court issued an order in favor of Suntron Corporation (Nasdaq:SUNN) in its ongoing lawsuit against Applied Materials, Inc. (Nasdaq:AMAT). The Texas Supreme Court's decision allows the litigation to proceed in Fort Bend County, Texas, the location of Suntron's Sugar Land manufacturing facility. The trial court has ordered that discovery will proceed and a trial date will be set.

Suntron filed the lawsuit seeking millions of dollars in damages in December 2004 in Fort Bend County, Texas. The case is styled Suntron Corporation and Suntron GCO, L.P. v. Applied Materials, Inc., Cause No. 04-CV-139910, in the 268th Judicial District of Fort Bend County.
