Delta Customers Now Have More Booking Flexibility Than Ever at delta.com

New online tools help customers find flights quicker based on price and schedule

ATLANTA, May 17, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Delta Air Lines has added new functionality to its delta.com Web site to allow online customers to quickly find Delta's lowest fares for their preferred flights, providing them more control and flexibility when booking travel.

With Delta's new online booking tools, customers can create their own itineraries by first selecting outbound flights and then choosing return flights from an expanding list of worldwide destinations. Customers also may take advantage of enhanced search features, including the option to:

-- Choose a flight "anytime" during a particular travel day
-- Find flights up to three days before or after a requested departure
    and return date
-- See all the best deals available in an entire month to destinations
    worldwide, in just one click
-- View prices to a specific destination for a month of weekend
    choices

"We are constantly thinking of ways to simplify and improve our customers' experience with Delta through innovative technology," said Lee Macenczak, Delta's executive vice president of sales and customer service. "These new delta.com features will expedite the booking process and help our customers find the flights that are right for their schedules and their wallets."

Macenczak added that enhancements to Delta's Web site over the next few months will include:

-- Foreign language versions including Spanish
-- Expanded PDA accessibility for on-the-go access
-- Online check-in for return flights when within 24 hours of
    originating flight

Customers may visit delta.com to book their next flight, check-in online, print their boarding passes, change their tickets, or simply get the latest Delta news. Passengers also can avoid up to $15 in booking fees when they fly on a round-trip ticket purchased directly at delta.com. Additionally, customers can take advantage of Delta's Risk-free Cancellation policy that allows them to cancel certain tickets within 24 hours without penalty if they find lower fares anywhere else or if their travel plans change.

In addition, an upgrade to Delta's flight notification system - the Delta Messenger -- will enable SkyMiles members to sign up for their flight notifications on delta.com. This new feature allows customers to provide Delta with contact information specific to their needs. Since the airline launched its Delta Messenger in 2004, it has notified millions of customers of advanced schedule changes or canceled flights by phone or e-mail. Late this year, Delta Messenger will begin to notify customers when their flights are delayed.
