Vision Solutions Selected as Finalist in Two Major Categories for 2006 High Tech Innovation Awards

AeA Recognizes Kim Dang as Finalist for Outstanding Woman in Technology; ORION for AIX a Contender for Innovative Product/Technology

IRVINE, Calif., May 17, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Vision Solutions, a leading high availability solution provider to the Global 5000, has been recognized by the Orange County council of AeA -- the largest technology trade association in the United States -- as a finalist in two separate categories for its 2006 High Tech Innovation Awards. The prestigious awards are given annually to recognize contributions to the local technology sector.

"We are honored to be named a finalist in two very significant categories that recognize our people and our technology," said Alan Arnold, President of Vision Solutions.

Kim Dang, director of mainstream products at Vision Solutions, has been named a finalist in the Outstanding Woman in Technology category which recognizes a female technology executive who has demonstrated exceptional performance in the areas of leadership, product or company innovation and community relations. She is responsible for day-to-day operation of the Vision Solutions engineering department. Under her supervision, product quality and on-time delivery have improved significantly, generating tremendous customer satisfaction. "Kim Dang has taken engineering at Vision to a new level," said Arnold.

In addition to her professional activities, Dang participates in numerous philanthropic projects through the company including March of Dimes and MADD.

Additionally, Vision Solution's industry-leading ORION(tm) for AIX has been recognized as a finalist in Innovative Product/Technology category. ORION for AIX is an extension of Vision Solution's ORION family of products and provides high availability for UNIX applications running on IBM's AIX operating system. It was named 2006 High Availability Product of the Year by Search400/Tech Target.

"Vision Solutions' technology and business achievements are testament to the type of innovation that's thriving in Orange County," said Tim Jemal, Executive Director of AeA. "The company's competitive edge has placed them at the top of their market segment and as a leader in the enterprise software arena, and they're very worthy of the finalist nod."

The 2006 High Tech awards, themed "The Race to Innovate," will be held May 18 at the Westin South Coast Plaza.
