California Software Provides Database Capabilities for System/36 Applications

Latest Release of INFINITE 36 to Provide Database Functionality for Flat File Applications

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif., May 19, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- California Software Corporation (Pink Sheets:CSWX), a leader in Legacy Extension, Business Intelligence and loan production software for banks, credit unions and consumer lending institutions and developer of the award-winning INFINITE product lines, announced today that it has begun shipping its latest release of the INFINITE 36 Version 10 product.

California Software's latest release of its popular INFINITE 36 suite of products provides flat file RPG and COBOL applications with the ability to migrate to Windows, Unix or Linux and (once migrated) provides database capabilities for the flat file code on Windows. This can be done without reprogramming.

The latest release 10.00.00 includes many updates to the previous version such as new COBOL subroutines, extended print management in Windows, and is bundled with the latest releases of INFINITE NET and INFINITE OLAP. The complete suite of tools migrate RPG and COBOL applications, makes them graphical, web-enabled, and provides an easy method to create web services using strategies for Service Oriented Architecture.

The newly re-hosted applications are also useable in such industry standard databases as Microsoft's SQL Server. Once the formerly flat file code is useable in a relational database model, INFINITE OLAP, which comes with the INFINITE 36 suite, can be used to create powerful analytics and reporting for the legacy applications.

Carol Conway, President, California Software said, "This new release of INFINITE 36 shows our commitment to building on the IBM Midrange community's investment in their legacy applications. We believe that no other provider of services and products to this marketplace can provide the high level of expertise to assist companies in modernizing their existing applications."

INFINITE 36 is a widely deployed product suite that migrates RPG and COBOL applications to Windows, Unix and Linux. To learn more about INFINITE36, click on www.californiasoftware.com.
