Control Module Appoints Richard Cardita as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Cardita Rejoins CMI to Lead CMI's Strategic Growth Initiatives

ENFIELD, Conn., May 23, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Control Module (www.controlmod.com), the leading biometric workforce management and data collection technology provider, today announced that Richard Cardita has rejoined Control Module as its Vice President, Sales and Marketing. In this capacity, Mr. Cardita will leverage his significant experience and skills to implement CMI's strategic growth plan and further its commitment to delivering customer satisfaction.

Prior to joining Control Module, Richard Cardita managed sales and customer service for Imperial Electronic Assembly, a leading contract electronics manufacturer. While there, he was responsible for a 35% increase in sales, significant growth into new technology markets and upgraded customer service initiatives.

Richard was also the Vice President Sales, Europe and Asia for Vectron International, a multi-national manufacturer of frequency control products. He managed an international network of sales representatives, created major new overseas accounts and managed annual sales of over $50 million.

"CMI is pleased to have Richard Cardita back on the CMI team. We look forward to leveraging his impressive experience and skills growing sales, entering new technology and geographic markets, and managing customer relationships," said Jana Moak, President and CEO, Control Module. "Further, his inherent knowledge of our company, customers and technology will enable Rich to hit the ground running in delivering our sales, marketing and customer satisfaction objectives."

CMI is embarking on an aggressive sales and marketing campaign centered around its Genus line of Java programmable terminals. These terminals are the only workforce management devices that serve as Internet appliances, and can communicate anywhere on the Internet, via a Web services model. This enables CMI's terminals to seamlessly integrate into a variety of back-end databases, including HRMS, ERP, accounting and payroll. CMI's Genus terminals have created -- for the first time -- the ability for customers to realize the maximum potential of their workforce management hardware, by offering a powerful interface to connect highly customized applications and the databases that fuel them.

"I look forward to the opportunity to grow CMI's customer base and bring companies the most powerful workforce management and data collection terminals on the market today," said Richard Cardita, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Control Module. "As companies around the world continue to build their communications infrastructures based on Web services, CMI's ability to offer terminals that serve as Internet appliances puts us in a unique position to sell workforce management technology that seamlessly integrates with their existing systems and grow our share of the workforce management category."
