SAN DIEGO, May 31, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- San Diego-based Healthyroads, Inc., announced that it has been selected by Kaiser Permanente to administer an Exercise Rewards Program for Kaiser Permanente Custom Care HRA members as an incentive to encourage them to exercise more and lead healthier lives.
The Exercise Rewards Program is designed to reward Kaiser Permanente Custom Care HRA health plan members who exercise routinely over the period of a year at fitness clubs and exercise centers. Members who work out at least 90 times in the year benefit period will earn a cash reward of $150. The program is administered by Healthyroads, Inc., a subsidiary of American Specialty Health, Incorporated (ASH).
Members track their workouts in a printed fitness logbook. For each workout performed, the member will obtain the signature of a fitness club representative. Once the member achieves 90 workouts in a one-year period, the logbook is mailed to Healthyroads, and the member receives the cash reward from Healthyroads.
