JetBlue Flies the Extra Mile -- Announcing New Nonstop Service Between Syracuse and Orlando

Service Begins July 20, Fares Start at $99(a), Plus -- Fourth Daily Nonstop to New York's JFK Starts November 1

NEW YORK, June 1, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq:JBLU) today announces new nonstop service from Syracuse-Hancock International Airport to Orlando, FL. Flights feature its award-winning service, 36 channels of DIRECTV(r) programming and roomy, all-leather seats. Daily nonstop service will begin July 20, with regular fares ranging from $99(a) to $299(a) each way.

In addition, JetBlue will add a fourth daily nonstop flight from Syracuse to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York starting November 1.

"The people of Central New York have spoken!" said David Neeleman, CEO, JetBlue Airways. "Our Syracuse customers tell us JetBlue's nonstop service to New York's JFK is great, but nonstop to Orlando would be even better. So starting July 20, we are going to make it as easy as possible to get to Florida, with award-winning service and low fares."

"This is just what the doctor ordered," said U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer. "Central New York is one of JetBlue's strongest markets, and with a new flight to JFK and a new route to Orlando, it's only going to get better. When I first brought JetBlue to Syracuse I knew it was a match made in heaven, and now we know this marriage is stronger than ever."

"I am pleased that our efforts to get JetBlue to grow in Syracuse have paid off," said U.S. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. "Over the past five years, JetBlue has shown its dedication to serving Upstate New York. Now, with new service to Orlando and more service to New York City, residents of Syracuse have even more low fare choices and more people will have the opportunity to visit and do business in the region."

"JetBlue Airways' decision to add new, non-stop service to Orlando and expanded service to JFK from Hancock International Airport in Syracuse is great news for travelers in Central New York," said Governor George Pataki. "This convenient, affordable new service will provide better access to more destinations and reaffirms JetBlue's strong commitment to Upstate New York."

"I am pleased JetBlue is moving aggressively to add new services to tap the strong travel market here in Central New York," said Syracuse Mayor Matthew Driscoll. "JetBlue has emerged as a premiere low-cost carrier at Syracuse and we will continue discussions with airline executives about continuing to grow JetBlue's presence at Hancock."

Customers with existing JetBlue travel reservations between Syracuse and Orlando connecting through JFK may change their reservation to the new nonstop flight for the same dates of travel. JetBlue will waive the change fee and applicable fare increases. Customers are asked to call 1-800-JETBLUE (1-800-538-2583) to make the changes.

JetBlue will operate the new service between Syracuse and Orlando, effective July 20, with Airbus A320 aircraft. The additional frequency between Syracuse and New York/JFK, effective November 1, will operate with EMBRAER 190 aircraft. Both aircraft offer the low-fare airline's signature 36 channels of DIRECTV(r) programming (b), the most live television of any airline, extra legroom and all-leather seats.
