First Horizon Bank Announces Opening of Bethesda Financial Center

Bank Celebrates Opening of New Location and 9th Full-Service Financial Center in the Greater Washington, D.C. Area


MCLEAN, Va., June 5, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- First Horizon Bank, a full-service financial services company, announced today the opening of its newest financial center at 7700 Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda, Maryland. The Bethesda location is the company's first full-service financial center in Maryland and is part of First Horizon's continuing commitment to provide high-quality financial counsel and convenience to greater Washington area residents and businesses.

In advance of the Bethesda financial center opening, First Horizon participated in several community events in conjunction with the Bethesda/Ayrlawn YMCA, including YMCA Healthy Kids Day on April 8, 2006 and the Family Fun Fest on May 21, 2006. On National Teach Children to Save Day on April 25, the bank hosted a "Super Star Savings" event, a bank-wide effort aimed at teaching the importance of financial literacy to children ages 6-12, at the Bethesda/Ayrlawn YMCA. The "Super Star Savings" program will also be presented at various camps throughout the summer in the Bethesda area. Additionally, First Horizon Bank partnered with the local First Horizon Home Loans office, located at 6903 Rockledge Drive to sponsor the Strut Your Mutt Parade and Dog Festival on May 20. All proceeds were donated to the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad.
