SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 5, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Scottsdale Insurance Company, the fourth-largest excess and surplus insurer in the country, recently promoted Joseph "Joe" Griffith to the position of Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Griffith will be responsible for leading the Information Technology team in support of Scottsdale's strategic objectives and business needs. He brings more than 18 years IT experience to the role. Griffith joined SIC in 1995 and since then has led both application development and infrastructure groups within IT as a director, Associate Vice President, served as acting CIO for seven months and served as a core member of Scottsdale's Agents Technology Advisory Committee.
He has a bachelor of business administration degree with a major in management information systems from the University of Iowa.
