World Hockey Association Corp. Announces Share Consolidation


VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 13, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- World Hockey Association Corp. (Pink Sheets:WHKA) today announced that on May 30, 2006, a majority of its shareholders consented to a consolidation of its shares on the basis of one share for every 100 shares of the Company. The consolidation was effective Monday, June 12, 2006.

World Hockey Association Corp. based in Vancouver, B.C. was founded as an aggressive business organization with one primary focus -- to act as a venture catalyst and to assist fledgling hockey leagues with all aspects of development: organization, set-up, franchise expansion, governance, initial capital, official licensing/ national corporate sponsorship programs, and access to player pools and international competition.

The WHA has created the WHA Junior West Hockey League. Six teams located in B.C. and Washington State will begin play in September, 2006. The league will be a single entity league.
