Delta Extends Special Low Fares for Summer Travel to Renowned North Carolina Golf Destination


SOUTHERN PINES, N.C., June 14, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Delta Air Lines is extending customers' opportunities to take advantage of special low introductory fares for summer travel to more than 40 golf resorts in the Pinehurst/Southern Pines region of North Carolina. Between today and July 7, customers can purchase tickets at special low introductory prices for travel to and from Pinehurst/Southern Pines, N.C. between June 22 and Nov. 12, 2006.

Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines will operate the new service between Atlanta and Pinehurst/Southern Pines six times weekly beginning Thursday, June 22. The flights will feature quiet, comfortable 40-seat CRJ200 jet aircraft configured with two-by-two seating with no middle seats.

Tickets cost $10 more if purchased from Delta over the telephone or $15 more if purchased at an airport or city ticket office, and these amounts are nonrefundable.
