McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP and Hands On Network Announce National Partnership

ATLANTA, June 15, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, a full-service law firm offering transactional, litigation and government/regulatory services, and Hands On Network, a nonprofit network of 58 volunteer organizations and a half million volunteers in and outside the United States, today announced a national partnership focused primarily on raising the level of volunteerism across the U.S.

As part of this partnership, Jeffrey Haidet, Chairman of McKenna Long & Aldridge, has joined the Hands On Network Corporate Service Council, led by Hands On Network Co-Founder and CEO Michelle Nunn and The Home Depot Chairman, President & CEO Bob Nardelli. An alliance of more than 50 Fortune 500 CEOs and civic leaders, the Corporate Service Council has committed to changing the face of corporate volunteerism in America. The Council's commitment and leadership of the two-year Hands On Campaign is focused on achieving a 10% increase in national volunteerism; training 100,000 volunteer leaders; and achieving a 10% increase in their own employees' participation in service projects. Other founding Council members include Accenture, Albertsons, The Coca-Cola Company, PricewaterhouseCoopers, SAP Americas and Turner Broadcasting.

In addition to partnering with Hands On Network to reach their Campaign goals by the end of 2007, McKenna Long & Aldridge has agreed to provide pro bono legal services to Hands On Network.

"We are thrilled to create this partnership with McKenna Long & Aldridge, and look forward to engaging their nine U.S. offices in our Campaign through a range of nationwide service projects," Nunn said. "Their energy and leadership skills will be needed and are highly valued as we rapidly grow our corporate volunteerism movement in the months ahead."

"Our new partnership with Hands On Network provides even greater opportunities for McKenna Long & Aldridge personnel and families to give back to their communities, while also being part of a transformational civic change movement across America," Haidet said.
