FCIA and ASNP Align to Provide Latest on Fibre Channel to Storage Networking Professionals

SAN FRANCISCO, June 19, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) and the Association of Storage Networking Professionals (ASNP) today announced their marketing partnership to provide SAN and Fibre Channel educational materials to the members of ASNP. The ASNP will give feedback to the FCIA on issues and concerns for clarifying the technology to the marketplace.

"The FCIA welcomes this partnership with ASNP as it will provide a vehicle for individuals working on a day-to-day basis in the storage networking field to learn about updates in Fibre Channel standards, applications, and resources," said Tom Hammond-Doel, Chairman of FCIA. "This is a wonderful opportunity for us to speak directly with thousands of users."

"The ASNP is pleased to be working with the FCIA," said Daniel Delshad, Chairman of ASNP. "One of the major goals of the ASNP is to work with associations like the FCIA to help provide them valuable input from our membership on users' wants and needs. We look forward to the partnership and continuing to help bridge the gap between the users and those that help to create the standards."
