Orion Health Jumps 20 Positions on Healthcare Informatics 100

SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 21, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Orion Health, a leading provider of clinical workflow and integration technology for the healthcare sector, today announces their 2006 ranking on the Healthcare Informatics 100 list of top Healthcare IT (HIT) providers. The company jumped 20 places to number 77 from their 2004 listing -- increasing HIT revenue by 54 percent.

Orion Health's escalation up the ranking list demonstrates the company's success in the North American market as well as their global expertise in implementing health information integration projects. With three significant Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO) projects underway in the United States and Canada, Orion is one of the foremost providers of clinical healthcare information systems.

The improvement in the ranking is yet another example of Orion Health's success. Orion has grown over 50% year on year for the last consecutive fiscal three years. This can be attributed to its strong healthcare focus. Its Rhapsody Integration Engine is the number one healthcare integration engine as reported by KLAS, a research firm specializing in monitoring and reporting the performance of information technology vendors in the healthcare field.

"Being named to the Healthcare Informatics list shows that Orion is a provider of choice when it comes to integration, messaging and workflow technology," says Paul Viskovich, President of North American Operations, Orion Health.

"Organizations recognize that because of our focus on the healthcare sector and our successful track record, we deliver solutions uniquely suited to their challenges."

Healthcare Informatics magazine's 13th annual survey of major healthcare information technology providers is based on 2005 healthcare IT revenue and consists of a variety of products and services vendors, representing over $20 billion in annual sales to the healthcare market.

In Asia Pacific, Orion Health is currently implementing the largest health information network in New South Wales, Australia, which will serve 6.5 million consumers when completely rolled out.
