Police TASER Device Saves Attacked Woman

According to news reports from San Diego's Channel 10 ABC News, La Mesa police responded to a 911 call on Friday night at 11:30 p.m. when emergency dispatchers said they could hear a women screaming before the call was forcibly ended. When police arrived at the La Mesa house, they were unable to break through the metal front door and instead broke through a sliding glass door in the back of the house, where they found a man on top of a woman strangling her.

Police used a TASER(r) device to stop the man and bring him into custody. Both parties were taken to a nearby hospital, and the man is now in jail.
