Henry Appointed Executive Vice President of Sysco Food Services -- Chicago, Inc.


HOUSTON, June 28, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- SYSCO Corporation (NYSE:SYY) announced today that Catherine M. Henry has been named executive vice president at Sysco Food Services - Chicago, Inc., a broadline subsidiary located in Des Plaines, Illinois. Ms. Henry, who currently serves as vice president of sales at that operation, will assume her new position effective July 2, 2006, the beginning of SYSCO's fiscal year 2007.

Ms. Henry, 43, began her SYSCO career in 1989 as a healthcare marketing associate for the Chicago operation. She became healthcare sales manager in 1996, progressed to program account sales manager in 1998 and was promoted to director of program sales later that same year. In 1999 she was appointed vice president of program sales and in 2003 she progressed to her current position. She is a five-time recipient of SYSCO's Torchbearer Award, presented annually to the organization's premier sales associates.

Ms. Henry was born and raised in Chicago, where she currently resides with her daughter.
