Beauty Industry Leaders Applaud Bold Branding Move


WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., July 27, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Salon City, Inc. (Pink Sheets:SLON), made a major statement to beauty industry leaders and the media on July 16. At its official "Going Public" Press Party, the company announced that it is now publicly traded, becoming the first media, publishing and beauty entertainment company to brand the professional salon industry to the public.

At the Border Grill Mandalay Bay, Salon City Star magazine Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Steven Casciola also announced that the magazine would shortly be available on newsstands nationwide, that the company's web site will shortly be updated and expanded, and that 2007 plans include development of other media, including TV shows and live touring events.

Salon City Star magazine is already the fastest growing and most influential beauty entertainment magazine in the industry, with current readership estimated at a quarter million readers per issue. Salon City, Inc. already owns a broad base of media franchises and intellectual properties, including magazines, tradeshow events and seminars, as well as an existing distribution network. It also includes the organization of a cooperative alliance under the "Salon City" brand that attracts top-tiered professionals, salons and distributors.
