The U.S. Cargo Sales Joint Venture, LLC Announces New Leadership


ATLANTA, Aug. 1, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- The U.S. Cargo Sales Joint Venture, LLC (US JV) which is the U.S. cargo sales and marketing organization of SkyTeam Cargo Members, Air France, Delta and Korean Air, today announced the appointment of Chang-Hoon (Colin) Kang as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the JV. Effective immediately, Chang-Hoon (Colin) Kang will take over the role of CEO from J.D.Cha, who returns to Korean Air Cargo headquartered in Seoul.

Colin Kang, who is on secondment from Korean Air Cargo, had previously been Managing Vice President of Cargo Network and Revenue Management department at Korean Air headquarters. He has more than 28 years of cargo experience with Korean Air Cargo. He has in-depth knowledge and expertise in various fields of the cargo business, including operations, field sales, marketing and planning. He has also held various overseas posts such as regional cargo manager in Brussels, Amsterdam and Frankfurt.

Commenting on his new role, Colin Kang said: "The Joint Venture has been developing very well over the last five years. I intend to build on what has been achieved so far and ensure that our customers continue to receive the best service possible."

The U.S. Cargo Sales Joint Venture offers customers the benefits of a combined sales force, centralized reservation and service centre, a comprehensive route network and a common product line. The company is equally owned by Air France, Delta and Korean Air, and governed by a joint Board of Directors. The joint venture is based in Atlanta with regional offices in Atlanta, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, and is managed and staffed by experienced cargo employees of all three carriers.
