Sarah Meyerrose Promoted to President of Emerging National Businesses for First Horizon National Corp.


MEMPHIS, Tenn., Aug. 3, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sarah Meyerrose has been promoted to president of emerging national businesses for First Horizon National Corp. (NYSE:FHN). She has worked for the corporation for more than 24 years, most recently as executive vice president of operations and technology.

In her new role, Meyerrose, 50, will be the executive leader of several of First Horizon's growing national efforts such as its health savings accounts (HSAs) business Msaver (www.Msaver.com) and its commercial insurance business Synaxis (www.Synaxis.com). She will also have responsibility for growing small business and retail and commercial deposits outside the corporation's existing banking markets in Atlanta, Dallas, Washington, D.C., and the state of Tennessee.

Meyerrose has held leadership positions in investor relations, finance, human resources, technology, customer service, corporate real estate and quality assurance. She served on First Horizon's original task force to introduce family-friendly principles to the company and has been an outspoken advocate for the strategic role of the company's cultural evolution. She earned her bachelor's in business administration from Vanderbilt University and her executive MBA from Vanderbilt's Owen School of Management.
