Aurora Oil & Gas Corporation to Ring AMEX Opening Bell


TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., Aug. 3, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Aurora Oil & Gas Corporation (AMEX:AOG) today announced that the Company will ring the opening bell to commence the day's trading at the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) on Tuesday, August 8, 2006. Aurora's common stock began trading on the AMEX on May 24, 2006.

Among those in attendance will be members of the Aurora management team, including William W. Deneau, President and CEO, Ronald E. Huff, Chief Financial Officer, John V. Miller, Jr., Vice President and Thomas W. Tucker, Vice President.
