Component Change Made to Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index

NEW YORK, Aug. 3, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, today announced a component change in the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index.

Alltel Corporation (NYSE:AT) will be deleted from the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index and replaced by CenterPoint Energy Inc. (NYSE:CNP). Alltel Corporation's indicated annual dividend decreased after the company spun off a portion of its business to create Windstream Communications Corporation. Alltel is being deleted because its new yield is less than that of the lowest yielding non-component stock on the latest monthly selection list.

The changes in the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index will be effective before the opening of trading on Wednesday, August 9, 2006.

The Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index tracks the top 100 U.S. stocks by indicated annual dividend.

Further information as well as the complete component list of the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index can be found on the Dow Jones Indexes Web site at http://www.djindexes.com.

Company additions to and deletions from the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index do not in any way reflect an opinion on the investment merits of the company.
