Perceptive Software Recognized for Business Success

Developer of ImageNow Document Management, Imaging and Workflow Solutions Honored in Multiple Award Programs


SHAWNEE, Kan., Aug. 4, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Perceptive Software Inc., developers of ImageNow(r) document management, imaging and workflow software, received six honors in the first half of 2006 for its business achievements and contributions to the community.

The company was recognized by the Computerworld Honors program, the Kansas City Business Journal's Women Who Mean Business program, Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year program, the Shawnee Economic Development Council, and the Kansas City business community's Future of Business program.

Perceptive Software was recognized as a Laureate by the Computerworld Honors Program, which acknowledges those individuals and organizations that use information technology to benefit society.

Marjorie Adair, Perceptive Software director of Finance, was named one of the Kansas City Business Journal's Women Who Mean Business. The honor recognizes Kansas City women for their career accomplishments and contributions to the success of other women in the community.

Coons received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year(r) 2006 Award in the technology category in the Central Midwest regional program. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic and growing businesses. Coons is now eligible for the national award.

The Shawnee Economic Development Council (SEDC) recognized Perceptive Software as its Corporate Citizen of the Year, which is presented to the individual or business that generates positive exposure for the city. Perceptive Software also received a 2006 Business Development Award from the SEDC.

Most recently, Perceptive Software was named a 2006 Kansas City Future of Business Award winner. The businesses were judged on three criteria: a passion to innovate, a drive to solve problems and a willingness to seize opportunity. The Future of Business program is sponsored by Ingram's Magazine, Deloitte & Touche, KMBZ and UMB Bank.
