Salon City, Inc. Unveils Multi-tiered, Two-Year Plan For Expanding Revenues

Media, Entertainment, Distribution, Licensing Designed to Achieve Goal of 'Number One in Branding the Professional Salon Industry to the Public'


WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Aug. 4, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Salon City, Inc.'s (Pink Sheets:SLON) President and CEO Steven Casciola announced that the company is planning a series of major media initiatives for 2007/8 designed to expand the company's various revenue sectors. Included in the announcement were excerpts from the company's corporate summary outlining the first phase of the company's 2007/8 plans, which are currently in progress.

Mr. Casciola noted at a recent press function that "SCI is poised to become the number-one media company in branding the professional salon industry to the public worldwide. To facilitate that objective, we intend to create a multi-faceted media platform that includes content creation, publishing, Internet, television and live events. This first phase has already begun and will begin its consumer roll out in early 2007, continuing through 2008."

In its strategic first phase, Salon City, Inc.'s branding model relies on a proprietary mix of media and marketing, each element synergistically reinforcing the other. Within this model, the company will generate revenue in multiple ways including advertising, sponsorships, membership fees, and product and event sales.

Projected revenue will be further driven by the benefit to manufacturers, distributors and salons participating in SCI's media initiatives (magazines, television and Internet) and local and national events (both consumer and industry).

Additional income is intended to be derived through the ability of selected salons and distributors to benefit from inclusion within the "Salon City" brand name, and also myriad special services provided by Salon City, Inc. to members.

Casciola explained that these are important first steps as the company builds a strong foundation to be the global leader in branding beauty entertainment to a growing worldwide audience.
