Harland Financial Solutions Connections 2006 Annual Conference Draws Record Attendance

ATLANTA, Aug. 8, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Connections 2006, Harland Financial Solutions' 5th annual user conference, is drawing a record 2,000 participants, including more than 1,300 clients and representatives of 91 strategic partners. Harland Financial Solutions, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of John H. Harland Company (NYSE:JH).

Although the four-day event has grown every year, its objective remains the same: to deliver a mix of educational sessions on all of the company's products and provide a setting full of networking opportunities among peers and industry experts. Held in Orlando, Fla. at the Walt Disney World(r) Swan and Dolphin Hotel, this year's conference offers attendees more than 400 educational breakout sessions to choose from. The company further demonstrates its industry leadership by showcasing its diverse solution set in Innovations Station, where product demonstrations are conducted and Harland Financial Solutions' staff is available to engage with attendees and answer any questions they may have.

"We're excited to hold this event each year, as it truly brings together thought leadership from our organization, as well as the financial institutions with which we partner," said John O'Malley, president of Harland Financial Solutions. "This is a unique opportunity for all participants to learn from each other, strengthen relationships and explore future technology investment needs."

Keynote speaker Lou Holtz, renowned former head coach of the University of Notre Dame, is scheduled to address guests during the opening session. One of the most successful college football coaches of all times, Holtz has become a speaking legend. His message of how to overcome seemingly impossible challenges by setting goals and working to achieve them has inspired countless audiences across the nation.

This year's lineup of guest speakers includes representatives from Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, Buchalter Nemer, Callahan & Associates, Cornerstone Advisors, Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, Georgian Bank, Reed Smith, Sage Policy Group and The Credit Union Journal. Attendees also will be treated to a special closing session performance by comedian and commentator, Chris Bliss, a Tonight Show favorite.

Preparations are already underway for Connections 2007, which will be held in San Diego, Calif., September 19-22 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.
