Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM) closed recently at $69.23 with a volume of 205657 X 100. My current rating on XOM is, "Overbought."

When I rate a stock "Overbought," it means that the momentum indicators I follow are in full swing. I see a "Overbought" stock as one that is usually already in the process of trending lower from previously overbought levels.

An "Overbought" rated stock is one that I would not want to buy. I'd be more inclined to wait for a "Overbought" rated stock to drop lower before I considered picking up any shares.

This is a stock that would have -- most likely -- been rated "Extremely Overbought" sometime in the recent past. Now, I'm waiting to see technical indications that the time to buy is near.
