Xirrus Boosts Executive Management Team by Adding Industry Veterans to Marketing and Sales


WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Aug. 14, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Xirrus, Inc., the only provider of high capacity, long range Wi-Fi products that can effectively extend wired network capabilities to wireless -- without compromise, has announced today the addition of Alan Amrod as Vice President of Marketing and Alan Hahn as Vice President of Sales.

In his new position, Alan Amrod will be responsible for Xirrus' product management, product marketing, channel marketing, OEM relationships and corporate branding.

Mr. Amrod brings over 20 years of experience in engineering, sales, service, marketing, and most recently served as vice president of Marketing for Ixia (Nasdaq:XXIA) where he was instrumental in driving Ixia to a global leadership position in IP Performance Testing. Prior to Ixia, Mr. Amrod was the vice president of Enterprise Marketing at Alcatel (NYSE:ALA). Before becoming vice president at Alcatel, Alan worked at Alcatel as director of Field Marketing; and before the acquisition of Xylan Networks by Alcatel, he was sales director for Healthcare, Education, and State Government sectors. Earlier in his career, he worked at General Electric Medical Systems, where he was involved in the early development of Picture Archive Communications Systems (PACS), and was instrumental in the creation of the networking products and services business unit.

Alan Hahn serving as vice president of Sales will handle Xirrus' rapidly expanding Branded and OEM global sales channels.

Mr. Hahn brings over 20 years of technology sales experience in both private and public companies. Prior to joining Xirrus, Mr. Hahn was vice president of Worldwide Sales for LogLogic. Prior to LogLogic he was vice president of Sales for Tumbleweed Communications. Tumbleweed acquired his previous company, Corvigo where he served as the vice president of Sales. Before Corvigo, Mr. Hahn was vice president of North American Sales for Telelogic, a Swedish based enterprise software development tools company, where he was instrumental in their successful entry into the North American market. Mr. Hahn also held executive positions with Williams Communications Solutions and Shared Technology Fairchild (STF).
