CORAL SPRINGS Fla., Aug. 16, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Vessel Entertainment, home of R&B/Dance Diva Joyce Sims, announced today that the company has signed a deal with legendary dance producer Glen Friscia and his partner Frank Lamboy to remix tracks for Ms. Sims and are considering future projects as well.
The first track Friscia and Lamboy remixed is "What The World Needs Now." "Joyce has released an R&B/Dance Crossover version of this song on her new album, but Glen's version is very hard hitting and very clubby, and never loses the flavor of Joyce's version. I am very excited about the version and the whole project. Joyce's new album "A New Beginning" is getting big buzz in the industry," stated Rick Papaleo, board member of Vessel Entertainment.
Ms. Sims, president of Vessel Entertainment, stated, "It was great working with Glen and Frank and I am blessed to be working with all the great producers that I worked with on this album. Some of the greatest producers in the industry worked with me on my new album "A New Beginning."
The remix is scheduled for release in late August and it is reported that a major announcement is scheduled with regard to radio and marketing in the coming days.
"The track has a great club feel but also is mainstream and radio friendly at the same time. I am excited about this track and enjoyed working on this track as I am a long-time Joyce Sims fan. "Who can forget 'All & All'," stated Mr. Friscia. "It is a classic!"
Friscia and Lamboy have recently put their unique spin on remixes for contemporary artists such as Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Cher, Anastacia, Todd Terry, Tony Moran, Murk and Anna Vissi just to name a few. Glenn's DJ career is still going strong as he has spun for the likes of Britney Spears, Calvin Klein and the Uber-Diva herself, Madonna.
Ms. Sims has had such hits as "All & All," "Come In to My Life," "Lifetime Love" and now the new album, "A New Beginning."
Current reports show that the album "A New Beginning" is getting current radio play with "I'll Always Be Here For You." Mosses Media, a radio marketer out of Gainesville, Florida, has been hired to work that track and the spins are mounting!
The album, complete with 14 tracks (12 plus 2 bonus tracks), was released 7/25/06 and is now available in retails outlets such as Tower Records, Virgin Megastore and Amazon.com as well as other retail outlets.
