Spunlogic Launches Microsite for Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network Microsite for Community Outreach Initiative to Rescue Recess


ATLANTA, Aug. 21, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Spunlogic, one of Atlanta's top interactive marketing and technology agencies, announced the launch of www.cartoonrecessweek.com to help generate awareness for Cartoon Network's newest community outreach initiative called "Rescuing Recess." The initiative is aimed at encouraging schools to support and celebrate recess, invite parents and the community to participate in local recess rallies, and to empower parents, kids and teachers to enhance and/or save recess in their schools. Child education and advocacy groups including the National PTA and the Centers for Disease Control have joined Cartoon Network in this initiative.

Cartoon Network approached Spunlogic to create the microsite that would inspire teachers and community members across the nation to participate in National Recess Week, taking place September 18-22. The microsite incorporates the same elements as Cartoon Network's Rescuing Recess website while encouraging teachers to sign up and participate. Upon signing up, teachers may receive one of 10,000 "playground kits" to make recess more fun, including jump ropes, whistles, balls, game ideas and other items.
