The Golden Eagle Showcase Home was designed to showcase the latest trends and technology in a new home, as well as educate prospective log homeowners about the design and construction process of a log home from start to finish. The public could tour the 5,572 square-foot showcase home during the two VIP events and eight open houses that were held as charity fund-raising events, with the proceeds going to the University of Wisconsin Children's Hospital. The events raised a grand total of $16,950.00 for the Hospital. Jay Parmeter, president and co-owner of Golden Eagle Log Homes says, "I'm absolutely thrilled -- the bottom line is, everyone wants to help kids, and we thought this would be a good thing."

From newborns to young adults, UW Children's Hospital's young patients receive a truly unique level of care. Money raised will be put toward the construction of the new American Family Children's Hospital. Under construction next to UW Hospital, the new $78 million children's hospital will be a world-class health care facility dedicated solely to the care and treatment of children and their families.
The $1.2 million showcase log home on Lake Petenwell is a true masterpiece. The home is equipped with four bedrooms, five baths and plenty of room for first class entertaining with the latest in modern conveniences. The kitchen offers a Sub-Zero refrigerator and custom designed cabinets that are accented by the reflections of natural light from the lake. The log home is also equipped with a wine cellar, a wine tasting room, theater room and a fourth bedroom. The theater room has two rows of lighted and elevated custom seating, surround sound provided by Axiom Audio and a high definition large screen television.
