(Nasdaq:TASR) a market leader in advanced electronic control devices today announced that it has received three follow-on orders for TASER(r) X26 units and accessories from law enforcement agencies in the state of Florida. The Broward County Sheriff's Office, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, and the Miami-Dade Police Department all placed orders for the TASER X26 devices and accessories to supplement the TASER units that are already in deployment at each agency.
"With over 335 agencies, we have had tremendous success in Florida in terms of the number of law enforcement agencies deploying TASER technology, and we are greatly encouraged to see these three progressive law enforcement agencies place follow-on orders," said Tom Smith, president of TASER International. These purchases orders totaled over $1,000,000 and are expected to ship in the third quarter of 2006.
