Helicopters to Place New Signs Atop 23-Story First Tennessee Building on Saturday

MEDIA ADVISORY, Aug. 26, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Helicopters will install new signs atop the 23-story First Tennessee Building tomorrow between 6:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. The 16-foot signs in the company's red, white and blue will be flown in from St. Louis. Then from a staging area next to the Welcome Center downtown, they will be placed on the south and east sides of the building. Signs will be placed on the north and west sides of the building on Sept. 9. The letters in the sign are 7' 4-5/8" high.

The First Tennessee Building at 165 Madison is the national headquarters for First Horizon National Corp., First Tennessee's parent company. The building is undergoing a major renovation as part of the company's commitment to Memphis and downtown. The signs will read "First Tennessee" because that's the name the company uses here, where about four out of every 10 people are First Tennessee customers. First Tennessee is the only survivor of the "big three" banks that have been headquartered in Memphis.

TRAFFIC ALERT: SOME STREETS AND INTERSECTIONS WILL BE BLOCKED BETWEEN THE WELCOME CENTER ON RIVERSIDE DRIVE AND THE FIRST TENNESSEE BUILDING AT 165 MADISON BETWEEN 6:30 A.M. AND 3 P.M.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY: Helicopters will be moving pieces of the signs between the Welcome Center on Riverside Drive and the First Tennessee Building Saturday, Aug. 26, between 6:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
