Delta Continues Mid-Atlantic Growth with New Service Between Trenton, N.J., Atlanta and Boston

Unanimous vote by county board gives customers one-stop access to the world

TRENTON, N.J., Sept. 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Customers in Trenton, N.J., soon will have convenient flights to one of Delta's largest focus cities, Boston, and its flagship hub in Atlanta thanks to a unanimous vote by the Mercer County Board of Freeholders that allows Delta to begin nonstop service from the New Jersey capital on Dec. 18. This winter, Delta will offer three daily nonstop round-trip flights between Trenton and Boston, along with one daily nonstop round-trip flight to Atlanta.

"As we grow our presence in the Mid-Atlantic region, Delta is pleased to bring the comfort and convenience of regional jet service to Trenton customers," said Bob Cortelyou, vice president - Network Planning. "With daily service to the key business markets of Atlanta and Boston, along with connecting opportunities throughout the U.S. afforded by both markets, the state capital will have the air service it needs from the convenience of its hometown airport."

Delta's new flights between Trenton, Atlanta and Boston will be operated by Delta Connection carrier Comair using 50-seat Bombardier regional jets. These comfortable aircraft feature an all-leather, two-by-two seating configuration and are known as one of the quietest commercial aircraft in the world.

"Delta is a great addition to the Trenton-Mercer Airport and I believe it will be a perfect fit for our residents and our region," Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes said. "In the very near future, Delta will provide convenient daily service on some of the quietest, most environmentally sensitive aircraft available today. It's exciting news that people can now literally check their bags at Trenton-Mercer Airport and pick them up at any one of the more than 100 destinations with convenient connections from Boston and Atlanta."
