Canyon Acres and I Padrini of Antonello Ristorante Host 'An Evening Under the Stars'

ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif., Sept. 7, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Canyon Acres Children and Family services, a charity organization committed to providing homes, care, treatment and supportive services for abused, neglected and emotionally troubled children and their families, today announced the details of 'An Evening Under the Stars', a benefit to take place October 8, 2006 at Antonello Ristorante in Santa Ana. Sponsored by Troy Group, Inc., Gemini Industries, Inc. and Orange Coast Magazine, the event will feature Italian cuisine, dancing and a live auction. Canyon Acres hopes to host more than 250 guests.

"An Evening Under the Stars will be both an exciting celebration, and an occasion to raise awareness for the troubling issues Canyon Acres' children face," said Clete Menke, Executive Director of Canyon Acres. "The funds raised from this event will allow Canyon Acres to continue providing exceptional programs and services for children who have been abused or neglected."

Canyon Acres Board Members Sebastian Paul Musco and Patrick Dirk will Co-Chair the event in support of Canyon Acres' "25th Anniversary Campaign". The Campaign seeks to supplement diminished government funding and to address increases in operating expenses for the agency.

"Canyon Acres and its services are absolutely essential to the community," said Musco. "We have been dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and their families for more than a quarter century. 'An Evening Under the Stars' is an excellent opportunity to support Canyon Acres and the children it serves."

'An Evening Under the Stars' will be held at 5:00 p.m. on October 8 at Antonello Ristorante in South Coast Village in Santa Ana. Event tickets are $175 per person and tables of ten start at $2,500. Please call Canyon Acres at (714) 385-5272 to purchase tickets or tables.
