Artificial Life Announces First Interactive Mobile Cartoon and Launches Product Website: www.ToonMates.com

HONG KONG, Sept. 7, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Hong Kong based Artificial Life, Inc. (OTCBB:ALIF), a leading provider of award-winning mobile technology and applications, today announced its first interactive mobile cartoon product called ToonMates(tm) and the launch of the accompanying product website: www.ToonMates.com.

The new mobile product is a massive, multi-player community game, based on interactive cartoons created by Artificial Life. Players of the game take on the role of funny interactive cartoon character avatars, called ToonMates, which they can custom design when they start the game. Once in the game, the player's ToonMate can freely walk around in the streets of a cartoon city and meet and interact with ToonMates created by other players as well as with preset ToonMates characters created by Artificial Life. ToonMates can chat with each other through speech bubbles using real time chat. Players can also create their own living quarters on their phones, where their ToonMate will live and can hang out with other ToonMates.

The game is based on a cartoon city with many different neighborhoods and streets. As players explore the cartoon city they make more and more friends which will expand their ToonMate community. As the player's group of friends grows, additional cool areas of the cartoon city become available for the player to explore. Players must be careful though, because as they explore and socialize in the game they may encounter strange events triggered by a variety of wacky ToonMates preset by Artificial Life -- some who are sweet but some who are very naughty.

The new product is scheduled for release in November 2006. The product runs on 2.5G, 2.75G and 3G phones. Further game details are available on the product website at: www.ToonMates.com.

"Our latest product, ToonMates(tm), marks another innovation in the mobile space and is the funniest game we have produced so far. It combines interactive cartoons with action gaming, a virtual community and even chatting and dating all in one application on your phone. It's very cool and will certainly attract a young, hip crowd around the world just as our other products have. In our opinion it may be the next big thing in the mobile space," said Eberhard Schoeneburg, CEO and Chairman of Artificial Life, Inc.
