NASDAQ and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Host Investor Program in New York


TEL AVIV, Israel and NEW YORK, Sept. 11, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (NASDAQ(r)) (Nasdaq:NDAQ) and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange will host its first-ever joint Investor Program in New York on September 14th, 2006. Presentations will be made by the senior management of 10 companies from Israel, including 4 Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) listed companies, 2 NASDAQ listed companies and 4 dual listed companies on the two exchanges. These presentations will be webcast live at http://investors.nasdaq.com.

Professor Stanley Fischer, Governor of the Bank of Israel, will give the opening address at the conference. "Cooperation between the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and The Nasdaq Stock Market is important for the Israeli economy. It is a part of the integration of the local capital market with the international markets. An event of this nature will help expand the activities of foreign investors in the Israeli capital market and of local investors in global capital markets," he said.
