PA Chamber to Present Gubernatorial, U.S. Senate Candidates Forum

U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, Gov. Ed Rendell, Lynn Swann to Participate


HARRISBURG, Pa., Sept. 13, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry will hold a gubernatorial and U.S. Senate Candidates Forum from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center as part of the 22nd Annual Chamber Dinner -- the Commonwealth's premier gathering of business leaders and state decision makers.

U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, Gov. Ed Rendell and gubernatorial candidate Lynn Swann have confirmed their attendance for the event, which also features veteran CBS journalist and 60 Minutes co-editor and anchor Lesley Stahl as moderator.

The forum with Santorum will take place from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. The forum with Rendell and Swann will take place from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Both programs will be held in the Great American Hall.

Statewide viewers can watch the event live on the Pennsylvania Cable Network. WGAL-8 will re-air the forum in the Susquehanna Valley at a later date. Coverage of the forum will also be available on the WGAL website.

The 22nd Annual Chamber Dinner itself will be held at 6:30 p.m., with a gala reception in honor of the Chamber's 90th anniversary from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Legendary satirical troupe The Second City will provide entertainment during dinner.
