NEW YORK, Sept. 19, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- The hunks featured in 2007's most outrageous calendar will make their New York debut at a special calendar signing reception to be held at Replay in SoHo (109 Prince Street, at Greene) on Friday, October 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The public is invited to meet the models of the Men of Mortuaries, a provocative new calendar marking its debut in October ($15) with all proceeds benefiting KAMM Cares, a nonprofit benefiting women with breast cancer. Outfitted in Replay's hot new fall "black line" of jeans and fitted tees, the models will sign autographs and pose for pictures at the trendy clothing emporium, which has pledged to donate 20 percent of all sales on that day to KAMM Cares.

Men of Mortuaries 2007 is the brainstorm of funeral home owner Ken McKenzie, who hopes to crush the taboo image that many people hold for those in the funeral industry just like HBO's "Six Feet Under" has helped to do. Each of the featured hunks is involved in some aspect of the business whether he is a family counselor, funeral director, or apprentice.
"We are thrilled to be marking Men of Mortuaries' New York debut at Replay, which is graciously 'undertaking' these festivities to help raise funds for this worthy cause," said McKenzie. "This is a wonderful opportunity for the public to join us and help lend their support to women battling breast cancer."
McKenzie launched the calendar as a fundraising vehicle for the nonprofit organization he founded in honor of his sister. Its goal is to put money in the pockets of women with breast cancer so that they can continue the everyday activities (e.g., going to the movies, dining out, etc) that are sometimes compromised as families on limited incomes are forced to cover added expenses associated with the disease.
