American Insulock Files for a New Patent

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 21, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- American Insulock Inc. (the "Company") (Pink Sheets:AILKF) is pleased to announce that on September 20, 2006, the Mesa, Arizona office of American Insulock, Inc. filed for a patent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

This new invention will greatly enhance the polyurethane block that has been the core of the Insulock technology. This invention provides for plastic pieces to be integrally manufactured into the block. The plastic "screw strips" will provide a place for contractors to more easily attach drywall to the interior of the block and attach siding to the exterior of the block.

The "screw strips" were invented by Mr. Robert Jamieson, Company president, who runs the Mesa, Arizona facility. Mr. Jamieson says, "This new invention will let contractors take a new approach working with the Insulock block."

The "screw strips" form a pattern on the wall when the blocks are stacked. This pattern is what the contractor will use to secure this product. The Insulock blocks can now be manufactured with the "screw strips" at different distances apart.

The new invention does not require any alterations to the block molding equipment. Blocks can now be produced with or without the "screw strips."

With the completion of this newest invention, Mr. Jamieson says, "The Insulock block is now the most advanced block in the building industry."

The status of the patent is "Patent Pending."

The Company's core business is the manufacture and distribution of its brand of insulating concrete forms (known as Insulock Blocks), together with the equipment that is used to manufacture these blocks. Insulock Blocks are made of polyurethane rather than polystyrene (i.e., Styrofoam(r)), which is the material that is used by virtually every other manufacturer of insulating concrete forms. Insulock Blocks are much stronger than polystyrene blocks and can be used to construct soundwalls and buildings that are highly effective at absorbing sound and that have an R-30 or R-38 heat insulating value.
