WEST CHESTER, Pa., Sept. 25, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- ComCam International, a subsidiary of ComCam, Inc. (OTCBB:CMCA) ("Company"), a pioneering developer of Internet Protocol (IP) video-networking solutions, announced today that it will participate at the ASIS International security show with Night Vision Systems (NVS), a DRS Technologies company.
ComCam will be demonstrating its 'Pocket C3,' a wireless network camera command-and-control platform running on Symbol's mobile computing devices. It will run with NVS's current line of infrared, thermal and visible-light cameras. According to ComCam's CEO, Don Gilbreath, "We are excited to be at this years ASIS as part of the launch of NVS integrated intelligent camera system, 'Perceptor.' We are proud of the contribution we made as part of the technical design team. As a result of this alliance, the Perceptor has the most sophisticated on-board motion analysis and thermal imaging capability on the market today."
The Perceptor was designed by NVS as a best-in-class technology, integrating Vanadium Oxide (VOx) thermal imaging, available in either 640x480 or 320x240 resolution. This uncooled high performance thermal imaging technology is already deployed by the military in thousands of thermal weapon sights and other systems. An optional secondary sensor for daytime or low lux viewing is available. The Perceptor will be offered in both fixed and pan/tilt configurations and is environmentally rugged to withstand rain, snow, ice, humidity, dust and fog.
